120 couples, one stunning venue, and one question we heard all day: how did you build this?

Some wedding fayres are steady. Some are useful. Some are worth doing because you meet the right people.

The Wortley Hall Wedding Fayre with Wedding Fayres Yorkshire was all three — and more.

Around 120 couples came through the doors, and from early on it was obvious this was going to be one of those events where people were genuinely interested, asking proper questions and paying attention to the details.

But the question we heard more than anything else was simple:

“How did you build this?”

Quick takeaways:

  • Around 120 couples attended throughout the day.
  • Couples were genuinely interested and ready to talk dates.
  • Our products caught attention, but our attitude kept people engaged.

The Venue – Wortley Hall

Wortley Hall is a venue that makes an impression immediately.

The exterior, the gardens, the fountain, the grand rooms and the detail inside all give couples plenty to imagine when they are planning their wedding day.

For the fayre, we were set up in the Dining Room, which looked fantastic. Chandeliers, high ceilings, period features and enough space for couples to move around comfortably made it a brilliant room for a wedding showcase.

It felt like the right kind of setting for us too — polished, full of character and busy enough to keep conversations flowing all day.

Why Couples Stopped at Our Stand

There were plenty of suppliers at the fayre, but our stand kept drawing people in.

Not because we were shouting the loudest. Not because we were pushing people into a sales pitch. And definitely not because we were trying to be like everyone else.

People stopped because they could see something different.

Our main Magic Mirror, The Mini and Magic Mobile all have their own place, and showing them together gave couples a clear idea of how flexible their wedding entertainment can be.

What caught people’s attention

  • Our custom-built Magic Mirror
  • The Mini as a compact option
  • Magic Mobile for flexible guest interaction
  • The fact we design and build our own products in Yorkshire

That last point mattered. Couples were not just looking at a product. They were looking at something with a story behind it.

The Question We Heard All Day

The biggest reaction throughout the fayre was fascination.

People wanted to know how we built everything, how it worked, why it looked different and what made it ours.

That is exactly where we stand apart.

A lot of wedding photo booths and mirrors can feel very similar. They are brought in, placed in a corner and explained in the same way every time.

Our approach is different because our products are different.

  • Designed by us
  • Built by us
  • Tested at real weddings
  • Improved constantly based on guest reactions

That is why conversations at Wortley Hall felt less like a sales pitch and more like people discovering something they had not seen before.

More Than Just the Products

The products got attention, but the attitude got conversations.

Couples responded to the fact we were straight-talking, honest and relaxed. No pressure, no over-polished pitch, no nonsense.

Just proper Yorkshire answers to proper wedding questions.

That mattered on the day. We had couples asking:

  • “Have you got our date free?”
  • “Can we book now?”
  • “How did you build this lot?”

That is exactly what you want from a wedding fayre — not just people taking leaflets, but people genuinely wanting to know if you are available.

We also had other suppliers comment that being next to us helped bring people over to their stands too, which says everything about the energy around the setup.

Standing Out Without Trying to Be Like Everyone Else

One of the best compliments of the day came from couples comparing what they had seen elsewhere.

The message was clear: other mirrors felt very “here it is, this is what it does.”

Ours felt different.

That difference is not just about the mirror itself. It is about the whole experience — the conversation, the confidence, the way we explain things and the fact we actually care about how it fits into a wedding day.

What couples told us

  • “You are the best here.”
  • “This is the best we have seen.”
  • “Other mirrors are just boring.”

We will take that.

Working Alongside Wedding Fayres Yorkshire

The event was run by Wedding Fayres Yorkshire, and it was another strong showcase from them.

A well-run fayre makes a massive difference because it brings in the right couples, keeps the day flowing and gives suppliers the chance to have proper conversations.

We were also alongside suppliers including Wedding Fayres Yorkshire, Joshua Adams, Chiffon Rose Bridal, and Charlotte Elizabeth the photographer in our room.

The overall feeling was simple: the right venue, the right couples and the right energy.

Why Wortley Hall Works for Weddings

From what we saw, Wortley Hall gives couples a lot to work with.

  • Grand indoor spaces
  • Beautiful gardens
  • Strong photo opportunities
  • Flexible rooms for different parts of the day
  • A real sense of occasion from the moment guests arrive

It is the kind of venue where entertainment needs to match the setting without taking over.

That is where a properly hosted Magic Mirror setup works well — visible, engaging and memorable without getting in the way of the wedding itself.

Final Thoughts

The Wortley Hall Wedding Fayre proved something we already believed:

Couples do not just remember products. They remember people, attitude and how you made them feel.

The products got them to stop. The conversations kept them there.

And if the feedback from couples is anything to go by, this was one of those days where everything clicked.

We smashed it.
