Some weddings build slowly. Tyler & Josh Geddes’ wedding at The Bridge Hotel & Spa was not one of them.
From the minute we walked into the Ribston Suite, the atmosphere was absolutely off the scale. The dance floor was already going, guests were in full party mode, and it had that proper wedding buzz where you know straight away it is going to be a busy night.
This one was extra special for us too, because Tyler works at The Bridge and we were the first supplier she booked.
A supplier friend booking the best. No pressure then.
Quick takeaways:
- Wedding reception in the Ribston Suite at The Bridge Hotel & Spa.
- Magic Mirror busy from the very start.
- Full custom eucalyptus leaf print design for Tyler & Josh.
- Dance floor already flying before we had even properly settled in.
The Setting – The Bridge Hotel & Spa
The Bridge is one of those venues we know well, and nights like this are exactly why we love coming back.
The Ribston Suite worked brilliantly for Tyler & Josh’s evening reception. There was enough room for guests to move naturally between the bar, the dance floor and the Magic Mirror without anything feeling forced.
By the time we were set up, the room already had a proper party feel.
No slow start. No awkward warm-up. Just straight into it.
The Setup – Magic Mirror in Full Flow
For Tyler & Josh’s wedding we brought the Magic Mirror, and it was busy almost immediately.
Guests were straight into the props, the hats, the glasses and the usual chaos that happens when people realise they can come back as many times as they want.
Why it worked so well
- The room already had huge energy.
- Guests could see the mirror clearly.
- The props pulled people in straight away.
- Groups kept coming back for more photos.
The print design was a full custom eucalyptus leaves design, created especially for the wedding.
Clean, personal and matched to the feel of the day — exactly how it should be.
The Magic Mirror was busy from the start.

When One Photo Turns Into Six
One of the first signs it was going to be a busy night came from one of the younger guests.
They had one photo, clearly loved it, then immediately went off to get the next six photos lined up.
That is exactly what we want from the Magic Mirror. It is not just a quick photo and done. It becomes part of the night.
Once one group gets involved, the next group follows, then the next, and suddenly the mirror has its own little crowd all evening.
“You’re Not Relaxed Enough”
Another favourite moment of the night was one guest being told he was not relaxed enough for the photo.
So obviously, he had to come back and do it again.
That is the bit people sometimes miss with a Magic Mirror. It is not just about the finished print. It is the messing about, the comments, the retakes, the laughing at each other and the little moments that happen around it.
The print is the keepsake. The chaos is the memory.
A Proper Party Atmosphere
This was one of those weddings where the atmosphere was already flying before we even got going.
- Dance floor busy early
- Guests fully up for it
- Mirror in constant use
- Big groups jumping in together
- Plenty of laughs from the props
Some weddings need a bit of time to warm up. This one did not.
Tyler & Josh’s guests arrived ready, and the evening just kept building from there.
Working Alongside Great Suppliers
It was great to be working alongside a strong team on the night.
- Martin Hilary Photography
- Colin from Sound Division PM
Colin had the dance floor moving from the start, and the room had that brilliant mix of music, laughter and people properly enjoying themselves.
One photo quickly turned into another six.

Tyler & Josh’s wedding had everything we love about a proper evening reception.
A packed room, a busy dance floor, guests who were completely up for it, and a Magic Mirror that became part of the night from the very beginning.
For us, it was also a proper compliment to be the first supplier Tyler booked. When someone who works at the venue trusts you with their own wedding, that means a lot.
Brilliant couple. Brilliant crowd. Brilliant night at The Bridge.
