Some weddings have a theme. Kamal & Natalie’s wedding at Woodlands had something better — personality.
Smart suits, a packed dancefloor and a crowd fully ready to have fun… then the props came out and things escalated quickly.
Around 90 guests joined Kamal & Natalie to celebrate, and from the moment evening guests arrived the atmosphere felt relaxed, friendly and properly upbeat.
They weren’t dressed as superheroes — but once the Magic Mirror opened, everyone discovered their inner character.
The Setup at Woodlands
We positioned the Magic Mirror beside the DJ inside the orangery, which worked perfectly.
Guests naturally moved between the dancefloor, the bar and the mirror without ever leaving the party energy behind.
Why this placement worked
- Visible from the dancefloor
- Easy access without queues blocking the room
- Guests joined in naturally rather than needing encouragement
At Woodlands, this is honestly one of the best spots for entertainment — part of the action without taking over the space.
Comic Energy Without Costumes
What made this wedding brilliant was how naturally guests leaned into the fun.
Nobody arrived dressed up… but once they saw:
- Thor’s hammer
- Hulk hands
- The Infinity Gauntlet
- Lightsabers
…suddenly everyone became a character.
The biggest laughs of the night came from guests posing as superheroes and movie characters on the mirror — completely unplanned moments that ended up being some of the best photos of the evening.
Props ready — including lightsabers, Hulk hands and Thor’s hammer.

Lighting? No Problem.
The orangery lighting was fairly dim, which normally challenges standard photo booths.
But this is exactly why we run a DSLR camera setup with professional lighting.
- No dark grainy photos
- No washed-out flash look
- Consistent quality all night
Guests looked incredible — sharp photos, flattering light and instant prints they actually wanted to keep.
A Mirror That Never Stopped
Some weddings see guests visit once.
Not this one.
Everyone used the mirror. And then came back. And then came back again.
Repeat visits all night long meant constant energy around the setup and a guestbook filled with genuine moments rather than staged poses.
What we loved most
- Guests encouraging each other to join in
- Dancefloor energy flowing straight into photos
- A crowd completely relaxed and enjoying themselves
Working at Woodlands
Honest supplier opinion?
I like Woodlands.
- Easy access
- Smooth setup
- Friendly team
- Everything just works
It’s one of those venues where suppliers can focus on creating a great experience rather than solving problems — which always makes the night better for couples and guests.
