Bunny Hill gave us the perfect setting for Luke & Jane’s summer wedding evening — exclusive use, beautiful light, relaxed guests and a Magic Mirror that fitted perfectly into the flow of the night.
This was a two-hour Magic Mirror booking from 6:30pm to 8:30pm, but the guests had other ideas.
Before we had even properly got going, people were already watching us set up and clearly wondering what on earth was about to happen.
So rather than making everyone wait, we started early at around 6:15pm — and Luke & Jane were first in front of the mirror.

The Setting – Bunny Hill
Bunny Hill is one of those venues that just works.
Every time we are there, it feels calm, organised and properly set up for a wedding that guests can enjoy without feeling rushed or cramped.
The exclusive-use setup makes a big difference too. Guests have space to move around, the gardens become part of the evening, and the whole venue feels like it belongs to the couple and their guests for the day.
For Luke & Jane’s wedding, that worked perfectly.

The Setup – Our Usual Bunny Hill Spot
We set the Magic Mirror up at the back of the room in our usual Bunny Hill position, with the rear garden doors just to the right.
It is a brilliant spot. The mirror is visible, guests can move easily between the room and the outside space, and there is enough room for people to gather without blocking the flow of the evening.

- There is plenty of space for groups, props and prints.
- The setting sun gives the room a lovely warm look.

The lighting was especially good for this one. As the sun started dropping, the room had that warm evening glow that makes everything feel a bit more special.

Starting Early Because Guests Were Ready
Officially, the booking was due to start at 6:30pm.
In reality, guests were already hovering, staring at the setup and clearly trying to work out what was about to happen. That is usually a good sign.
When people are curious before the mirror has even started, you know it is going to be a fun one.
So we fired it up early at around 6:15pm, and Luke & Jane were the first to use it. They were chilled, relaxed and looked genuinely happy — exactly the right way to start the evening.
Luke & Jane’s First Print
One of the nicest moments of the night was Luke & Jane looking at their first Magic Mirror photo together.
It was not staged, not forced, and not one of those moments you have to manufacture.
They had just used the mirror, the print came out, and they had that little shared reaction couples have when they see something from the day they know they will keep. That is exactly why we love instant prints at weddings.
A Relaxed Wedding Where Everyone Was Happy
This was not one of those weddings where everyone stayed in one place all night.
Because the weather was good, a lot of guests naturally spent time outside, enjoying the gardens and the evening air.
That did not hurt the atmosphere at all. In fact, it made the evening feel even more relaxed.
People drifted in and out, came over to the mirror, went back outside, came back again and kept the whole thing moving naturally. It was one of those really relaxed weddings where everyone was just happy and wanted to party.
The Guests Got Fully Involved
The guests were brilliant.
They wanted to have fun, they were happy to get involved, and they gave us exactly the kind of photos that make a wedding gallery feel alive.
There were couples, groups, big smiles, daft props and plenty of people coming back for another go.
We also had one guest who tried turning the mirror balls into his own balls.
Which is probably all we need to say about that.
One of the best reactions of the night was a guest looking at the printer and asking:
“What, it prints straight away?”
Yes. It does. And that reaction never gets old.
Working Alongside Familiar Faces
Another lovely part of the evening was seeing familiar suppliers again.
Lisa from Drawn by Light Photo was there, who we last worked alongside at Kam & Natalie’s wedding at Woodlands.
She remembered us straight away, which turned into hugs all round before everyone had to get back to work.
We also met Maddy Salgado Art, who was doing hand drawn pictures for guests during the evening.
Her illustrations were clearly going down well, and she was already fully booked, so there were no more slots to squeeze in.
That is always a good sign at a wedding — when guests are not just watching, but actively wanting to be part of what the suppliers are doing.
