Summer had definitely arrived at The Bridge Hotel for Joe & Megan’s wedding — and by the end of the night, the temperature inside the Walshford Suite somehow felt even higher.
Around 60 guests gathered for a relaxed evening celebration filled with friendly people, plenty of smiles and a steady flow of guests excited to jump on the Magic Mirror.
This wasn’t the wildest or loudest wedding we’ve ever worked at The Bridge, but honestly, it didn’t need to be. Sometimes the best weddings are simply great people enjoying a genuinely good evening together.
Quick takeaways:
- Warm summer evening with a relaxed atmosphere.
- Perfect setup opposite the bar inside the Walshford Suite.
- A couple genuinely excited to get involved from the start.
The Setting – The Bridge Hotel
The Bridge continues to be one of those venues that simply works.
The Walshford Suite gives guests plenty of room to move naturally between the dancefloor, the bar and the entertainment without anything feeling cramped or forced.
With the warm weather outside and a busy room inside, the atmosphere built naturally throughout the evening.
It felt relaxed, comfortable and exactly the kind of wedding environment where the Magic Mirror fits perfectly.
The Setup – Opposite the Bar
For Joe & Megan’s wedding we positioned the Magic Mirror opposite the bar, which turned out to be the perfect choice for the evening.
Guests naturally passed the setup all night long, meaning there was never any need to encourage people to get involved.
Why this placement worked
- Constant guest visibility
- Easy access for groups
- Natural flow between drinks and photos
- Guests discovered it organically throughout the night
We did hit one small problem before guests arrived when one of our lighting units decided it had given up for the evening.
Thankfully, the bright room lighting and a few quick adjustments meant everything still ran smoothly — most importantly, guests never noticed a thing.
That’s the benefit of experience. Problems happen. The trick is solving them before they become anyone else’s problem.
A bright summer evening setup inside the Walshford Suite.

Joe & Megan Set the Tone Early
One of our favourite moments came right at the beginning of the evening.
Megan was absolutely buzzing to see the mirror setup and couldn’t wait to get involved.
Joe had never actually met us before the wedding day itself, so seeing everything come to life for the first time was brilliant.
The couple jumped straight onto the mirror early on, and that excitement instantly spread through the room.
When the couple genuinely love having the mirror there, guests naturally follow their lead.
A Different Kind of Wedding Atmosphere
Not every wedding needs a packed dancefloor and absolute chaos from start to finish.
This was a calmer, more relaxed evening full of genuinely lovely people simply enjoying each other’s company.
- Friendly guests
- Relaxed conversations
- Steady mirror usage all evening
- Guests excited to try the setup
Sometimes those weddings actually create the best atmosphere because nobody feels pressured to perform or force the energy.
Everyone simply enjoyed themselves naturally.

Final Thoughts
Joe & Megan’s wedding proved that not every great wedding needs to be a huge party.
Warm weather, lovely guests, a relaxed atmosphere and a couple genuinely excited to celebrate with their friends and family.
And despite the summer heat, by the end of the evening we somehow managed to raise the temperature even further.
Great venue. Great wedding. Great night.
